Tips for serving karak to a crowd

  • Brew in batches of 1 litre of water at a time so the tea and milk thicken properly.
  • Let the milk boil gently for 2 to 3 minutes after adding it; that is what makes karak creamy.
  • Fill thermoses straight away and keep a spare one for late guests.
  • Offer sugar on the side, or stevia for guests who avoid sugar. Condensed milk makes karak very sweet, so skip extra sugar if you use it.

How do I keep karak hot for guests?

Make it in batches and pour it into thermoses straight after brewing. The calculator shows how many thermoses you need for your cup size.
