Taste & Texture

A balanced medium roast brewed the traditional way, with a thick body and a fine layer of foam on top. The extra-fine grind lets the coffee release its flavour quickly in the pot.

Turkish Ground Coffee: Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make Turkish coffee?

Put about 70 ml of cold water per small cup into a cezve, add one heaped teaspoon of coffee per cup (and sugar if you like) and heat slowly. When the foam rises, remove it from the heat, let it settle for a moment and pour gently into the cup. Turkish coffee is not filtered, so let the grounds settle before drinking.

Can I use it in a coffee machine or French press?

It is ground extra fine for a cezve, so it is not suited to filter machines or a French press, which work better with a coarser grind.

Does it contain caffeine?

Yes. It is real coffee, so it contains caffeine.

Is it instant coffee?

No. It is ground coffee that you brew; it does not dissolve instantly like instant coffee.

How should I store it?

Keep the pouch tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, because ground coffee loses aroma when exposed to air and moisture.
